We put up the Christmas tree and boy was Jack a "great" help! He wanted to sort through all the ornaments, throw the baseball ones and play with the lights. It took us 1.5 hours to get just the tree and all the ornaments up, but I think we did a good job. Jack even did some dancing to the holiday music, so cute! Just wait until next year when Leah is in the mix too!

Thanksgiving 2009
Happy Thanksgiving! We had a quite Thanksgiving with Mima (Laure) at the house in Granville. We took our annual holiday card photo and played around at Mike's baseball field for a little bit. After not taking the turkey out of the fridge in enough time we actually got to eat our wonderful meal around 6:30pm, not to shabby! Jack is currently an extremely fussy eater, so I think he had fish sticks and called it a night. After the kiddos were in bed we watched Meet the Fockers. We forgot how funny that movie was. Anyways, great and looking forward to next year with even more family!

Family day

What a great day! It was blue skies and in the 50s today. We all took naps and then managed to get out house and head to the Granville Elementary School playground. Jack actually went down the tunnel slide three or four times all by himself! And he is learning how to become steady on the swing. All was good until we got home from the playground and the landlord showed up at our door with an e-mail from a neighbor, that we haven't met yet, that they're requesting we get rid of Austin because they are scared of him (being that he is a "pitbull"). We are feeling upset right now and were hoping for a better welcoming to the neighborhood. All in all this was a great day spent together, although missing our Georgia friends!

Feeling more at home
Wow, time is going by and we are starting to feel more and more at home. The kids are adjusting to the new house and Jack has even been to Ms. Donna's house twice this week for a couples hours. Mom (Laure) is flying in Monday night (11/22/09) for the Thanksgiving week! Looking forward to heading home next month for Christmas.

We made it!

That's right we made to our new home in Granville, OH! We left on Tuesday November 10th and arrived yesterday around 5pm. There was so much going on at the house with the movers continuing to bring our stuff into the house. Jack was officially promoted to a "big boy" bed and Leah has now taken over his crib, although I think this maybe a temporary situation do to Jack not sleeping well. Today we got cable and internet connected, which is wonderful! Also picked up all of Mike's belongings and our pup, Austin, from the house that they had been living at for the past 10 weeks. We surely do miss our wonderful neighbors (The Brillharts), and hoping to meeting some of the new ones here. Grandpa Ira is do to arrive any time now and he will be a great help over the next few days with set up the house and taking care of the kiddos! Looking forward to having the house a little bit more organized . . .

Our New House!
Jack playing in the leaves

"Jack in a box"
Today was our last full day at the house, so the kids and I spent a lot of time relaxing, organizing & some time outside (beautiful weather in the 70s). We are surely going to miss fall in Georgia! Jack had a blast helping me rake, then jumping in the pile. Leah watched from the stroller, the poor girl has a little cold! Mike comes "home" tomorrow night. Our new adventure officially begins on Tuesday.

Halloween weekend 2009
What a great weekend! Nana Sue flew in on the Friday for a weekend trip from New York. We were so excited to have her here since she hadn't seen the kids since July. Friday we packed up some boxes in the kitchen then headed over to the Brillhart's (Me
lissa, Darcy & Quentin) for pizza and pumpkin carving. I was thinking Jack was going to have fun helping to crave the pumpkins this year, but he was actually quite freaked out by the whole experience.

We did get the traditional Clark/Brillhart baby in the carved pumpkin picture of Leah. I would like to think we are fun parents! Then on Halloween (Saturday) the weather here in Douglasville was cool and rainy so we weren't able to do too much outside. Later in the afternoon we headed to the playground with Melissa and Quentin, and then got together later to hand out candy to the trick or treaters. Jack cooperated enough to put the fireman costume on that Nana Sue gave him, but we never made it out the door to actually trick or treat. Leah participated by wearing her special Halloween socks from Aunt Nini & Uncle Dave. Finally today we met up with our great friends Trish & Chuck before taking Nana Sue to the airport. We had a great weekend and we are going to be so sad to leave Douglasville and all of our wonderful friends next week. The only good news is that Mike comes "home" in one week!

Wow, what a stressful week! I've mentally started to count down the days (until Nov. 9th) to our move date, but this week and last week were both challenging. This was the week of sickness. It seemed like all most all the kids at Becky's (daycare) had either a runny nose or a diarrhea/vomiting combination. Luckily Jack only had a few episodes of diarrhea, possibly one instance of vomiting and a lot of snot . . . . Leah seemed to luck out the best with only having an occasional running nose and some congestion. The weather finally warmed up into the 70s by Wednesday, but it is getting dark by 7pm so no playing outside after getting home at night. Well, we are off to our friend Nathan's 2nd birthday party tomorrow and then hopefully to pick out a new pumpkin on Sunday. I think Jack will pick out a great one! P.S. I think I have a job . . .

October 19th, 2009
Well, the weather finally warmed up today and we got to go out and play (up from the 40s and into the 60s). The kids were still under the weather, but just getting out to see our good friends Brandi & Ava made all the difference. Three weeks from today and we are moving to Granville! Oh yeah, I dressed the kids too warm again, but I hate being cold!

Wow, it has been really cold here in Douglasville (40s & windy)the past two days. A community tree actually landed in our front yard! Out of curiosity I searched Granville's weather today and we are the same! Wasn't thinking this would be that bad, however both kids are under the weather and therefore we are house bound! At least the sun is shining today. Jack is really loving Curious George the movie and Leah is becoming quite the talker! Looking forward to when our family is all back in the same place together!
October 16th, 2009
Today was Leah's 3 month pictures at the Picture People. Jack was running through the mall yelling "Go, go, go". He loved the car-carts near the entrance to the mall the best. Leah did a wonderful job smiling at the camera, but at the end Jack had a big melt down. Oh, well at least our family memories are recorded!
